Movie Screening of "Seders & Cigars" by Barbara RosenthalJoin us for this event where will show the Barbara Rothman documentary, “Seders & Cigars - A History of Jews in Tampa”. The film is the story of the Jewish immigrants who came to Ybor City and West Tampa in the late 19th century and early 20th century to start businesses in support of the demand created by the cigar industry. Through family photos, home movies and interviews this early Jewish community’s economic, cultural and religious institutions are brought to life. This will be followed by a panel discussion.
