Launch party for the new book, Route 66 in Tulsa, by Steve Clem and Becky Hatchett, with Foreword by Rhys Martin. Route 66 was conceived in Tulsa by Cyrus Avery, the Father of Route 66, and is also home to the person responsible for the Mother Road's modern-day renaissance, author Michael Wallis. Exciting roadside attractions include Buck and Stella Atom, Meadow Gold Mack, and Route 66 Historical Village. Brilliant neon signs illuminate Tulsa's 26 miles of Historic 66 in what is now, officially, the Capital of Route 66!
