"Raising Awareness" CSEC Facilitator Training

Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training"Raising Awareness" CSEC Facilitator Training to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers."Caregivers play a crucial role in preventing youth from becoming involved in the commercial sex industry. Equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to engage with youth is essential. The 'Raising Awareness' facilitator training is a one-day training designed to teach participants how to effectively educate parents and caregivers about Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). Trainers will instruct participants on how to confidently facilitate the 'Raising Awareness' curriculum, covering key topics such as an overview of CSEC, identifying risk factors for entry, understanding the dangers posed by the Internet and social media, and strategies for engaging youth in discussions about CSEC.

Learning Objectives

1. become familiar with the “Raising Awareness” curriculum.

2. describe the importance of teaching caregivers about CSEC.

3. learn how to facilitate the workshops with caregivers.

4. teach caregivers strategies for engaging youth in dialogue about CSEC."

Please note that in order to register for these free trainings you must be staff, caregiver or volunteer working directly with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.
