Join us for a special screening of the award-winning documentary Railroaded, followed by a live Q&A with acclaimed director David Gladstone and featured advocates from the film. This powerful evening will explore the ongoing fight to protect and restore the Nolichucky River in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, while highlighting the resilience of the communities and river stewards working to rebuild what was lost.
Following the screening and panel discussion, guests are invited to stay for a social hour to connect with fellow community members, outdoor advocates, and supporters of river recovery efforts. This event also serves as a fundraiser for the Nolichucky Outdoor Recreation Association and its continued restoration, cleanup, and recovery work throughout the Nolichucky watershed.
Suggested donation for attendance is $10 per person, and additional donations are always welcome. Recurring donations are especially impactful and are a meaningful way to provide extended support for ongoing river recovery, restoration, education, and stewardship efforts. A QR code for contributions will be available on the event posting and at the event. Come be part of an evening of storytelling, advocacy, and community action in support of the river we all love.
