About this Event
This short documentary delves into the pervasive issue of homelessness in the Bay Area, with a particular focus on Berkeley. Through the voices of those who have lived the experience, data from UC Berkeley Professors and the insights of local elected officials, the film examines how the city grapples with this ongoing crisis. At the heart of the documentary is The Dorothy Day House, a non-profit organization that stands out for its compassionate, human-centered approach to aiding the homeless. The film also highlights their latest initiative, Dorothy’s Closet, which seeks to address the needs of the homeless with dignity and care. This is a poignant exploration of a community striving to make a difference, one person at a time.
