Lochlea whisky sets itself apart from traditional Lowland styles by utilizing barley grown on-site and emphasizing a meticulous production process. The distillery's long fermentation and careful cut points result in a new make that bursts with orchard fruit and exhibits remarkable elegance.

Led by the dedicated Production team of Darren, George, and Bryce, Lochlea’s approach focuses on patience and detail, creating a spirit characterized by juicy fruit and moreish cereal notes. The unique flavor profile arises from several techniques, including raking the mash tun after the third water to produce a semi-cloudy wort and employing varying fermentation times of 66 to 116 hours for optimal balance and depth.

The stills are operated slowly to enhance copper contact, and the distillery sources premium casks from around the world to mature its distinctive whisky, highlighting fruit, biscuit, and nutty characteristics that distinguish it from typical Lowland offerings.
