The Brown County Art Gallery will open an exhibit and sale called, "Check It Out", in homage to one of Mellencamp's popular songs that speaks of people just wanting to be heard, a theme that is represented in his art.
The Gallery Exhibit opens on Saturday, September 6th, and was personally curated by Mellencamp.
Visitors will find a selection of original paintings as well as a selection of museum-grade signed reproductions.
The Gallery is open daily, and admission is free.
