"In nomine Deu et patriae" wystawa fotografii dokumentalnej
Jednym z pierwszych opisów Polski, jakie słyszy się, gdy się tu mieszka, jest to, że ponad 90% populacji to katolicy. To przekonanie powoli zanika, gdy jako imigrant podróżujesz po różnych regionach kraju i zgłębiasz jego historię.
Decyzja o zatytułowaniu tej wystawy po łacinie „In nomine Deu et patriae” (W imię Boga i ojczyzny) wynika z mojej próby znalezienia starożytnego przedstawienia znaczenia „ojczyzny”, ziemi ojców, która przywołuje miniony czas, odciskający się w naszej pamięci, nostalgicznie wyczekiwany, z którego rodzi się opór wobec zmian.
Ta wystawa prezentuje serię przesłań związanych z religią i patriotyzmem, czy to ze względu na wydarzenie, podczas którego zostały sfotografowane – na przykład Święto Niepodległości w Warszawie – czy też z protestów w obronie pewnych wartości, które niekiedy zdają się przeczyć słowom świętej księgi, która rzekomo kieruje ich duchowością.
"In nomine Deu et patriae"
One of the first descriptions you hear about Poland when you start living here is that over 90% of the population is Catholic. This perception slowly fades as you, as an immigrant, travel through different regions of the country and study its history.
The decision to title this exhibition "In nomine Deu et patriae" (In the name of God and country) in Latin stems from my attempt to find an ancient representation of the meaning of "fatherland," the land of the fathers, which evokes a past time, that imprint on our memory, nostalgically longed for, from which a resistance to change arises.
This exhibition displays a series of messages associated with religion and patriotism, either by virtue of the event in which they were photographed—for example, Independence Day in Warsaw over several years—or at protests in defense of certain values that sometimes seem to contradict the words of the holy book that supposedly guides their spirituality.

Una de las primeras descripciones que escuchas sobre Polonia al empezar a vivir aqui es que mas del 90% d ela poblacion es catolica, esta vision se va desdibujando lentamente a medida que como inmigrante uno viaje por distintas regiones del pais y estudias sobre su historia.
La decision de que esta muestra se llamara "In nomine Deu et patriae" (en nombre de Dios y la patria) en latin es ya que yo he intentado buscar una representacion antigua sobre el significado de fatherland, tierra de los padres que evoca un tiempo pasado, esa huella en nuestra memoria ańorada con nostalgia de la que se desprende esa resistencia al cambio.
esta exhibicion muestra una serie de mensajes asociados a la religion y el patriotismo ya sea en virtud del evento en el que fueron fotografiadas, por ejemplo el Dia de la Independencia en Varsovia durante varios ańos y algunas protestas en defensa de ciertos valores que a veces parecieran contradecirse con las palabras del libro sagrado que supuestamente guia su espiritualidad.
BIO: Pamela Palma Zapata from Gdańsk, originally from Chile, with more than 10 years of experience in documentary films, documentary series for TV and other television programs, member of the Union of graphic reporters and cameraman of Chile since 2019, since 2016 she has developed in Poland as an *artivist (Artivism is a neologism, derived from the combination of the words "activist" and "artist", with the meaning of "art with explicit social content").
There have been several exhibitions of which she has been part, but her largest project is UTERO, a photographic exhibition of the social struggle in Poland during the last years in 11 Polish cities.
Her work is characterized by the involvement and closeness of what is photographed/recorded, always maintaining a unique perspective from her point of view as an immigrant woman and feminist.
Currently her first documentary film as a director on Abortion in Poland is "work in progress"
BIO POLISH: Pamela Palma Zapata z Gdańska, pochodząca z Chile, z ponad 10-letnim doświadczeniem w filmach dokumentalnych, serialach dokumentalnych dla telewizji i innych programów telewizyjnych, członkini Związku Reporterów Graficznych i Kamerzystów Chile od 2019 roku, od 2016 roku rozwija się w Polsce jako *artywistka (Artywizm to neologizm, pochodzący z połączenia słów „aktywista” i „artysta”, oznaczający „sztukę o wyraźnej treści społecznej”).
Była częścią kilku wystaw, ale jej największym projektem jest UTERO, wystawa fotograficzna przedstawiająca zmagania społeczne w Polsce w ciągu ostatnich lat w 11 polskich miastach.
Jej prace charakteryzują się zaangażowaniem i bliskością tego, co jest fotografowane/nagrywane, zawsze zachowując unikalną perspektywę z jej punktu widzenia jako kobiety imigrantki i feministki.
Obecnie w toku jest jej pierwszy film dokumentalny jako reżyserki na temat aborcji w Polsce.
