It's that time again - NWGA Jazz is back with another installment of our annual "An Evening With" Jazz Series on February 28, 2026, this time featuring incomparable guitarist Bobby Broom!Bobby Broom is well known throughout the jazz arena and across the country for his amazing melodies on guitar, and has worked with many iconic jazz figures, like Rollins, Miles Davis, Art Blakey, Stanley Turrentine and Kenny Burrell.
He will be accompanied on stage by the talented jazz songstress Ilona Knopfler, along with other special guest appearances.
Broom is also a tenured Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University and has devoted much of his career to jazz education. He will be hosting a music clinic during his visit to Northwest Georgia in February - stay tuned for more details on attending this amazing masterclass clinic.
This event will be held at the Historic Desoto Theatre and is guaranteed to be one to remember — with a dedicated pre-show cocktail hour, amazing jazz music and unparalleled ambiance amongst the Northwest Georgia community.
As always, a portion of our proceeds goes towards supporting female athletes with K-12 schools of Rome, Georgia.
