About this Event
Join us for a beginner like ride in Andover. Learning to be comfortable riding bikes on roads opens up a world of opportunities. Need a little confidence boost? Our experienced cyclists with years of recreational riding will share tips for safely sharing the roads with cars. Andover Trails marks two Andover bike loops on quiet scenic roads and which optimize safety. The Introductory to biking session will ride the shorter loop - 9-mile, riding at a slow pace with frequent stops for instruction on safe riding. Meeting Point: Phillips Academy Bell Tower on the corner of Salem and Main. FREE EVENT
This 9-mile route is intended to be ridden in a clockwise direction to minimize left turns. It is road marked with an "A" pointing in the direction of all turns with occasional confidence markers in between. There is an "s" at the base of the road mark "A" only where this route departs from the 24-mile loop. It can be combined with the 24-mile loop to create other options. Created by the Andover Trails Committee, andovertrails.org.
