I’m excited to announce I will be raising funds for the National Brain Tumor Society in honor of Anders Elmblad. The money raised will be allocated towards glioblastoma research. Glioblastoma is a highly malignant form of brain cancer that currently has no viable treatment, making research critical.
The National Brain Tumor Society invests in, mobilizes and unites the brain tumor community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and their care partners. This mission is something that’s incredibly important to me. I was inspired to fundraise for glioblastoma research after experiencing the loss of my friend Anders. Anders was diagnosed with glioblastoma in the summer of 2024 at 25 years old and sadly passed away shortly after. I have been inspired by his unfaltering desire to make a positive impact on others, even while he was suffering, and hope to contribute to research that will help develop treatments to give hope to thousands of patients.
