For the 2025-26 school year I'll be teaching middle school Anatomy & Physiology with mountains of hands-on activities and quirky health videos from the 90s & on!

Here are the bullet points to answer most questions:
🫀This is an “all angles” kind off class. We will be drawing, making jell-o & candy 3D models of an animal cell, doing small physical challenges, watching educational cartoons, dissecting chicken wings, using 3D models of a human heart, creating a layered body systems book with the student’s face as the head…!
👂We’re using the “Exploring Creation” textbook and notebooking journal. It is a Christian series. (There’s scripture in there). **Each student must have their own copy of each of those. A used TEXTBOOK is fine (all of mine are), but a used JOURNAL is not. If you need help getting those I can help! **I'll post links for the textbook & journal at the end of this event description.
👀At the Oviedo YMCA on Red Bug Lake Road. Our backup location is the Oviedo Bowling Center.
🧠Non-holiday Mondays & Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Be sure to check the graphic of each event for specific dates.
⚡️⚡️The school year will be broken up into quarters that are 18-classes long. A total of "36 weeks", two classes per week, making up a full traditional school year, in case you're looking for that sort of thing!
🦶Meant to be a middle school class (ages 11 to 14) but I'll accept kids as young as 9 if I’ve worked with them before and know their participation/attention abilities.
❗️Note that I will not be addressing reproduction in class because I don’t think a group setting is best for that. I will also not be going into the last section of the book. (It’s anti-evolution). You all can talk about both of those things at home.😆
🧠 The cost (supplies included- and it’s A LOT OF SUPPLIES!) is $150/kid per 18-class quarter. It can be paid by PayPal ([email protected]), Zelle, or cash. This is really meant to be a continuous class that each student is in throughout the whole school year (all 4 quarters), but taking time off is doable. The student would just miss out on in-class projects and lessons. Sadly, there won't be time to review.

⭐️I’m not scholarship affiliated, so it's possible you’d only be reimbursed for the books. I don’t know how all that works. Some have had success sending in simple screenshots of the event description including payment details and then a screenshot of your Zelle/PayPal payment with the class title and student name in the notes. I’ll send you a FB message confirmation as a receipt also.
🫁 No homework!
‼️Must have a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 25 students each quarter. Spaces are given on a first-paid-first-given basis. Payment MUST be received in order for your student to officially hold a spot. Once the 25 spots fill up there's nothing that can be done. As much as I'd love to keep accepting students, we're limited by physical space in the classroom.
💙This is NOT a drop off program. Parents need to wait in the nearby lobby just outside the classroom.
💜EACH student must have their own copy of the book in class each week. Siblings sharing copies has never worked out.
‼️‼️VERY IMPORTANT‼️‼️
If I do not have full payment from 6 or more students ONE WEEK before the quarter starts I do have to cancel that whole quarter. This is because I have to rent our space and won’t rent the space if we don’t have students sign up. I'd lose money and that's not sustainable for my family.
🧡Again, students are not required to attend every week in a quarter, but the cost remains the same even if only one week is attended.
