Welcome to Worcester's brand new Analogue Zine Club!
Make mixed media zines at this exciting limited-run of workshops with local artists Gabe G Taylor + Freddie Barker.
Looking to experience a new craft that’s fresh, engaging and screen-free? This is the place to be!
Each session revolves around a different zine format: teaching participants the practical skills while providing materials, information and community to share and craft your bespoke zines with.
SESSION THREE: Punk Stylings (history and technique)
We’ll be paying tribute to the punk origins of zine-making as a craft, and using photocopying methods to create grungy, traditionally styled zines.
With an emergence in the 70’s and 80’s, zines became an essential for grassroots activism and a drive for social change. While it is your choice to lean into (or away from) activism for this week’s zine, we’ll use punk essentials such as chains, safety pins, and analogue printing techniques to imitate the historic zines that made waves.
