Anacostia River Bioblitz Observation at Kenilworth

It's time for the 9th Annual Anacostia River Bioblitz! Join Capital Nature for a fun observation afternoon at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. Organized every year by the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS), the Bioblitz is an opportunity to observe and document wild animals, fungi, and plants that make their home in the watershed. This year's Bioblitz runs from Sept. 11th through Sept. 14th. You can make observations on your own throughout the period using iNaturalist, or join this event as part of a community partner observation. Please consider also joining AWS on Saturday, Sept. 13th at Lake Artemesia in MD for a special celebration and community observation program. All of our observations will count toward the Anacostia Bioblitz project tally on iNaturalist.
