An introduction To Watercolours
About this Event
Whether you are an experienced painter or a complete beginner wanting to try something new, come and join us for a watercolour taster session lead by local artist Joe Hardy.
The Format
We will start out with a step by step tutorial taking you through basic techniques to paint a colourful still life arrangement. This is a great chance to make mistakes, ask questions and experiment in a no pressure environment.
After this we will move onto more individual freeform painting, so please feel free to bring along your own images if there is a subject you would like to have a go at!
Whether it's landscapes, portraits or something more abstract, this will be a great chance for some more personalized guidance. There will also be a selection of references images available if you would like to choose from those instead.
Materials
All materials will be provided including paper, paint and paintbrushes, but feel free to bring along your own if you would prefer to use those!
Donation
There's an optional donation to go towards the running costs of the classes - this stops people booking up all the free tickets then not showing up!
Eventbrite requires £1 to be entered in the box but we can refund that in cash when you attend the class, or you can put it towards a cup of tea from the kitchen ☕
