An Evening with Matthew Jamal

To bring in the fall season, I've collaborated with The Chai Spot for this offering. My meditative practice recently has included slow long tones using the cello and double bass. Sustaining notes with the bow in this way requires control and patience that can only be achieved through continuously releasing the tension in your body as you play. This evening, I'll be utilizing cello, double bass, electronics, and other instruments to ground us. This is an opportunity for us all to slow down and engage in this practice. Bring whatever you need to feel comfortable. Tickets are limited as it is an intimate space.
