Amel, a poet and painter from Algeria, transforms personal hardship into powerful art. Shaped by the trauma of the Algerian Black Decade, she found refuge in poetry and painting mediums that express raw emotion and resilience. Magdi, a photographer with roots in Eritrea, Egypt, Sudan, and Canada, brings a multicultural perspective and a heartfelt pursuit of light and connection to his imagery.
