In Become the Parent You Needed: Heal Yourself to Raise Emotionally Healthy Children, LJ Jones explores how unresolved childhood experiences, both conscious and unconscious, shape how we live our lives and parent. Through a raw yet heart-warming blend of Western psychological insight and Eastern philosophy, Jones guides readers through their childhood, then provides compassionate therapeutic guidance on reparenting themselves and becoming conscious parents.

The book helps readers recognize inherited patterns from their own upbringing and teaches them how to break cycles that no longer serve them or their children. LJ Jones is a British counselor, author, speaker, and mother of two grown daughters based in Bangkok. Her work focuses on healing childhood trauma and helping adults break generational patterns so they can raise emotionally healthy children. Drawing on eleven years of therapeutic practice and international experience, interwoven with her own experiences of motherhood, she explores how unexamined childhood wounds shape adult relationships, parenting, and emotional wellbeing. Her debut book, Become the Parent You Needed, encourages and guides readers to heal themselves first to create healthier families through conscious parenting.
