An Evening With concerts invite artists to go beyond the music, sharing stories, inspirations, and moments behind their work. These evenings are designed for attentive listening, reflection, and deeper connection between artist and audience.
Janie and The Spokes is an upbeat hometown indie rock band and longtime local favorite, known for driving original music and energetic performances. Based in the Duluth–Superior region, the band has been playing together in various configurations for more than 20 years, performing both acoustic and electric sets depending on the venue.
Founded by Janie and Pete Aas, the band features Janie on vocals and acoustic guitar, Pete on vocals and lead guitar, Jordan Ash on bass, and Garth Anderson on drums. Janie and The Spokes have released three albums in recent years, including Dead-Eye Rust (2023), Eclipse (2024), and a live album recorded at Sir Ben’s.
