This special Kids Welcome concert is made possible by the Friends & Family of Ted Lewis, in loving memory of Ted Lewis, one of Spirit of the Lake Community Arts’ founding board members. Ted believed deeply in access to the arts and creating welcoming spaces for families and young people.
A true children’s music concert — made for kids.
Our Kids Welcome concert series invites families into a relaxed, welcoming space where live music can be enjoyed together. Most Kids Welcome shows feature family-friendly music for all ages. This concert is a children’s music performance, created specifically for young listeners and active participation.
Phil Warner is a retired music educator and music therapist with decades of experience creating engaging, participatory music experiences for children. Throughout his career, he has taught and provided music therapy in a wide range of settings, including public elementary schools, Montessori schools, early childhood programs, head-injury rehabilitation centers, schools serving children with emotional and educational needs, the Kansas State School for the Blind, and the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School.
Phil has performed children’s concerts for many years alongside his guitar, Gus, and has directed children’s theater productions in Cumberland, Wisconsin. His children’s music programs emphasize singing, movement, storytelling, and joyful participation. His performances have supported community groups and events across Wisconsin, including Peace Fest, Day of Unity, and early childhood education initiatives. Phil also sings with the folk trio Home Again.
