An Evening of Sound Healing at Water's Edge
About this Event
An Evening of Sound Healing at Water’s Edge
Join us for a relaxing evening of in-person sound healing within the serene and beautiful setting of Water’s Edge.
Originally built as a church in 1907, the venue’s soaring ceilings and spacious design create a naturally resonant environment where sound can move and expand throughout the room. The tones of the crystal singing bowls and other healing instruments will gently fill the space, creating an immersive experience of layered sound and vibration.
Guided by Shannon Rivest, a Certified Sound Practitioner, this experience invites you to rest, unwind, and reconnect with yourself as the soothing tones and vibrations wash over you.
This experience is ideal for anyone seeking deep relaxation, a peaceful reset, or a moment of calm amid the busyness of everyday life. No previous experience with sound healing or meditation is required.
About Your Practitioner
Shannon is a Certified Sound Practitioner through the Sound Healing Academy UK and a Reiki Master, with training in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She also shares more than 150 guided sound journeys on her Hawthorn Healing YouTube channel.
Her sessions are created with care and intention, offering a welcoming space for rest, reflection, and reconnection.
What to Expect
The evening will begin with a short grounding meditation and intention setting, followed by approximately 45 minutes of immersive sound featuring 17 crystal singing bowls and other healing instruments. After the soundscape ends, there will be five minutes of silence to allow the frequencies to settle and integrate before the session gently closes.
Doors open at 7:00 PM, giving you time to arrive, settle in, and get comfortable. The session will begin promptly at 7:15 PM.
Comfort and Accessibility
This is a floor-based sound healing experience. Guests will be lying on their yoga mats for approximately one hour.
Please bring a yoga mat, along with anything that will help you feel warm, supported, and comfortable, such as a blanket, pillow, bolster, eye mask, extra cushioning, or cozy socks. You are also welcome to bring water and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
If lying on the floor for this length of time is not comfortable or accessible for you, please contact Hawthorn Healing before purchasing your ticket to discuss whether an alternative arrangement may be available.
To help you fully experience the session please arrive free from alcohol or recreational substances.
A small selection of comfort and integration items will also be available for purchase before and after the session, including eye masks, botanical salt soaks, and handcrafted dream pillows.
I look forward to welcoming you to Water’s Edge and sharing this peaceful evening of sound, stillness, and connection with you.
Warmly,
Shannon Rivest
