At this time of year we are often so busy rushing around making arrangements, buying and wrapping presents and stocking up the freezer that we forget to take time out to rest and recuperate. By Christmas day we can feel exhausted and unable to enjoy it the same. Sound familiar? Then why not join me at 6.30pm on Friday 16th December for 2 hours of restorative yoga and yoga nidra, followed by Christmas refreshments?
Just couple of hours from your busy schedule to unwind, rest and digest. Give yourself the opportunity to recharge your batteries before the big day! Everything that still has to be done will be there afterwards, but you will feel better equipped to deal with it!
Restorative Yoga balances a busy lifestyle and has the capacity to counteract physical and mental symptoms that are stress related.
Restorative Yoga does not involve muscular contraction; during a restorative yoga class you still stretch, but you relax fully in the stretch, so that tension can slowly be released. It is often believed that you have to “work” to increase flexibility, but we can achieve opening in parts of the body that we perceive as tight, by softening and relaxing rather than through a more dynamic, fast paced yoga practice.
