Join us for a gentle evening of cacao, reflection, and sound healing designed to create space for rest, remembrance, and emotional release.
About this Event

This trauma-informed cacao ceremony and sound healing experience is a gentle space to honor grief, transition, and the emotions we often carry quietly. Through ceremonial cacao, guided reflection, and immersive sound healing, guests will be invited to slow down, soften, and experience rest, connection, and emotional support in a grounded community setting.

Join Carla L., MA Licensed Therapist and holistic practitioner of Choose You Therapy, for a trauma-informed evening of cacao, guided reflection, meditation, and immersive sound healing designed to support emotional release, nervous system regulation, and deep rest.

This experience may be supportive for those who are experiencing:

• Grief related to the loss of a loved one
• Divorce, separation, or relationship changes
• Family estrangement or complicated family dynamics
• Infertility, pregnancy loss, or grief surrounding not having children
• Illness, caregiving fatigue, or health-related transitions
• Loneliness, isolation, or life feeling different than expected
• Major life transitions or identity shifts
• Emotional exhaustion or carrying “too much” for too long
• Anticipatory grief or mourning changes before they fully arrive
• The quiet grief that often goes unseen or unspoken

You do not need to identify with a specific type of grief to attend. This space is open to anyone seeking reflection, rest, emotional support, and gentle community.

Together, we will create space to slow down, reflect, remember, and reconnect with ourselves in a supportive community setting.

This experience may include:
• Gentle grounding meditation
• Ceremonial cacao
• Guided reflection and visualization
• Immersive sound healing with crystal bowls, chimes, and layered sound
• Quiet integration and rest

Following the experience, light snacks and refreshments will be available, along with space for gentle connection and community for those who wish to stay afterwards. A small take-home gift will also be provided as a symbolic reminder of the evening and the space held together.

You do not need to explain your grief to deserve support.

Please bring:
• Comfortable clothing
• Water bottle
• Any additional blankets or pillows for comfort

Yoga mats and blanket will be provided.

Please note: This event is supportive and therapeutic in nature, but is not a psychotherapy session or crisis service.

Cacao may not be appropriate for everyone, including those who are pregnant, sensitive to caffeine, taking certain antidepressants or heart medications, or those with specific medical conditions. Please consult with your healthcare provider if you have concerns.

Sound healing may involve deep relaxation and emotional release. Those with sound sensitivity, epilepsy/seizure disorders, severe PTSD triggers related to sound, certain mental health conditions involving sound disturbances, or those in the first trimester of pregnancy should use discretion and are encouraged to reach out with any questions before attending.

Limited spots available to preserve an intimate and grounded experience.
