About this Event
Join us for a special gathering and fundraiser honoring the members of the Noke Koi people visiting from the Nomawana Village in the state of Acre, Brazil, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
Visiting us will be Chief Yama Nomanawa and the chief's nephew, Ata Nomanawa. Relatively unknown compared to other Amazonian tribes, the Noke Koi made little contact with Western culture until they received instruction from Kokapino Txari (the Great Spirit) to share their knowledge and wisdom with the world.
Join us for this opportunity to meet the tribe and create a significant impact in the lives of the Nomanawa community who hold the front line of protection of the Amazon's fragile rainforest.
