An appreciation of ROY HARPER – with John Leckie. A CAT Club presentation
The CAT Club presents An Appreciation of:
ROY HARPER – with special guest JOHN LECKIE
Roy Harper is one of English music's finest singular songwriters – an independent voice whose work helped shape both folk & rock.
Led Zeppelin saluted him with Hats Off To Harper, and it was Harper who sang lead vocal on Pink Floyd's Have A Cigar.
Legendary engineer and producer John Leckie's own Harper story began in 1970 when, at the start of his career at Abbey Road, he worked as a tape operator on the sublime Stormcock.
He went on to engineer many of Harper's greatest records, including Lifemask, Valentine and HQ. Later John co-produced Bullinamingvase and Work Of Heart.
Happy Trails.
