The Authors at the Pope series continues with Dave Wedge and his new book, Blood & Hate: The Untold Story of Marvelous Marvin Hagler's Battle for Glory.
There was a time when Marvin Hagler was a normal part of the Valley fabric - seen out and about doing his errands, grocery shopping, or grabbing dinner. Before that life, he was one of the best boxers in the ring - and Dave Wedge would argue certainly one of the greatest middleweights in history. Before all of that, he was a fatherless teen in Brockton, and a boy surviving the riots in Newark, NJ. Wedge has put together the whole story to show how Hagler overcame incredible odds to become the 'Marvelous' man that we all knew. The book is in development to be a major motion picture!
