For our first event of the series we are joined by Amy Remeikis, Chief Political Analyst at The Australia Institute, as she discusses her new book Screw Nice: How the Politics of Civility Shuts Us Up (Hachette, July 2026). Amy will be joined in conversation by Hannah Ferguson, co-founder of independent news platform Cheek Media Co., bestselling author of Bite Back and Taboo, and co-host of the Big Small Talk podcast. Hannah’s work explores politics, feminism and social change for a new generation of Australians. Following the conversation, ask Amy directly about the book’s themes and the deeper inspiration behind her acclaimed work in an audience Q&A.
