America's Golden Dream Dancers
About this Event
America’s Golden Dream Dancers is an inspiring senior dance company founded in 2023 by Paula Henson and Liz Roberts. Created to celebrate the passion, artistry, and vitality of dancers ages 50 through their 80s, the organization proves that performance, creativity, and the pursuit of dreams have no age limit. The company brings together dancers representing multiple states across the country, including Florida, Ohio, California, Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey, Indiana, North Carolina, Oregon, and Mississippi and Texas. Through the use of virtual technology, the team auditions, rehearses, and collaborates from coast to coast, forming one vibrant national ensemble. One of the most extraordinary aspects of America’s Golden Dream Dancers is the way the dancers meet in person for the first time just days before each event. After months of virtual rehearsals, they gather face-to-face to refine choreography, strengthen their connection, and prepare to take the stage together.
Since its founding, the company has quickly built a reputation for meaningful and inspiring performances across the United States and internationally. One of the group’s most profound milestones has been performing in Normandy, France during historic D-Day memorial commemorations. There, the dancers honored the heroes of World War II through patriotic performances that blended storytelling, remembrance, and heartfelt tribute. Dancing on international soil in the presence of veterans and visitors from around the world remains one of the company’s most treasured experiences.
The dancers have also performed in multiple locations throughout Honolulu, Hawaii during Pearl Harbor memorial events. Appearing in ceremonies commemorating December 7, 1941, the company used movement and music to celebrate the resilience, courage, and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation.
In addition to commemorative performances, America’s Golden Dream Dancers have entertained audiences on major professional stages. They have performed aboard Royal Caribbean cruise ships, sharing their high-energy performances with international audiences at sea. Their talent has also been showcased at iconic theme park venues, including Disney World’s Waterside Stage in Florida and the Hollywood Backlot Stage at Disneyland in California.
The company is honored and excited to perform in Washington, D.C. for America’s 250th birthday celebration on July 4th—an exciting milestone that reflects the group’s deep love of country and commitment to celebrating history through dance.
At its heart, America’s Golden Dream Dancers is more than a performance group—it is a movement celebrating lifelong passion, friendship, wellness, and the belief that it is never too late to shine, perform, and live your dreams.
