Join us for an American workshop as we celebrate the Nation's 250th Anniversary. Learn how to paint your own watercolor sampler inspired by 18th Century Embroidery.
In this relaxed workshop, you’ll create a beautiful 2-4 paneled sampler inspired by the textiles in the Musuem 's Collection. Step by step instructions will guide beginner and seasoned painters in this special edition class.
Whether you’re new to watercolor or already love to paint, this class offers something for everyone. We’ll explore:
- Foundational watercolor techniques (blending, layering,and linework)
- How to paint natural hex and wreath shapes , symmetrical patterns, stars, florals, fruits, and sprigs of leaves.
- Techniques for working with gold paint.
- Easy composition tips to design your finished watercolor sampler
All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with your completed 8x8 watercolor samplers, ready to frame or gift.
