AMERICAN TEENAGER Book Reading & Author Q&A
About this Event
Author Reading & Conversation with Nico Lang
Join us on Thursday, June 25 at 6:00 PM at Pewa for an evening of storytelling, conversation, and community with award-winning journalist and author Nico Lang.
Nico will read excerpts from their acclaimed book, American Teenager: How Trans Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in a Turbulent Era, a powerful and deeply human portrait of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive youth across the United States. Drawing from hundreds of hours of interviews and a year spent documenting the lives of young people and their families, the book offers an intimate look at resilience, identity, belonging, and hope.
Following the reading, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A with Nico, exploring the stories behind the book, the importance of uplifting trans voices, and what it means to create community during challenging times.
Whether you're a reader, educator, advocate, parent, or community member, this special event offers a chance to engage in meaningful dialogue and connect through the power of storytelling.
