Ready to build on your ASL foundation? This class continues language learning with Mango, focusing on conversational skills, vocabulary expansion, and greater confidence in signing.
To join this level, participants should already know how to sign the alphabet, be comfortable with fingerspelling, and be able to sign simple introductory sentences.
Group will meet at the back table by the Biographies. Open to adults and teens 12+ who register in advance.
Prerequisite: Download the Mango Languages app on your phone/device using your Roxbury Library card and choose American Sign Language (ASL) as the language you want to learn. Contact a library staff member if you need assistance with this. Meet your learning ally: Doris Lembo is a Roxbury resident. She has been a high school math teacher for 25 years and counting. While she doesn’t teach ASL, she recently went back to school to begin learning how to sign. She’s excited to explore ASL with you using the Mango app.
