The Autry’s 35th annual American Indian Arts Marketplace brings together more than 100 Native contemporary and traditional artists who present and sell handmade jewelry, sculpture, beadwork, pottery, paintings, and more. Discover the artistry, stories, and creativity of Native artists from across the nation in a joyful, open-air festival setting. From timeless traditions to bold contemporary expression, this is where creativity and community come together. Description Centered on direct engagement with artists and their work, the Marketplace reflects Native art as a living practice—grounded in tradition and continuously evolving in contemporary forms. At its core, the Marketplace is an opportunity to meet artists, learn about their work, and engage directly with the materials, techniques, and perspectives that shape contemporary Native art. Live performance Experience traditional powwow dance styles and songs by the Wildhorse Native American Association, as well as a multigenerational hoop dance performance by world champion Terry L. Goedel (Yakima/Tulalip) and the Goedel family. Indigenous film Explore screenings by contemporary Native filmmakers, presented in collaboration with the Sundance Institute Indigenous Program. New play readings Hear new play readings by Native Voices , the nation’s only theatre company devoted to producing new works for the stage by Native American playwrights. Hands-on experiences Try linoleum block printing using designs developed by Tongva artist River Garza or take part in a hoop dance workshop with Terry L. Goedel. 🎫 Included in Admission Your ticket includes access to the Autry’s galleries, where exhibitions such as Creative Continuities: Family, Pride, and Community in Native Art and Future Imaginaries: Indigenous Art, Fashion, Technology (on view through June 21) offer additional ways to engage with Native art across forms and generations.
