Amelia’s 2nd cousin, Nancy Earhart Burt from Hastings, MN, presents a program on the life of Amelia Earhart. In the two parts of this program, Nancy will speak as Amelia of her life story from growing up in Kansas to her last flight. Then Nancy takes over, giving an outside perspective of what went wrong, theories of Amelia’s fate, and her cousin’s lasting impact. Refreshments will be provided by the Kandiyohi County Historical Society. To give us an idea of a headcount, we ask that people pre-register by either calling the library or going to the Adult Services page of the WPL website. This project is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
