Amazing Scavenger Hunt! - National Zoo-Loose Adventure

The Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute (aka The National Zoo), comes from humble beginnings on the National Mall and boy has this zoo come a long way! Today, this is much more than a place for visitors to view and learn about animals, it's also a place for scientists to study and breed different species, and work towards conservation and sustainability efforts. This National Zoo Safari Scavenger Hunt will give you the best of both worlds, helping you learn about this special zoo and have lots of fun searching for animals along the way!

Dive into a new kind of zoo experience on this scavenger hunt as you search for lions, tigers, and oh so much more. You'll get to say hellos to two of the zoo's favorite bamboo-loving residents, see a couple of the animals who helped inspire this zoo, and even meet our country's most beloved bear. Don't forget to take a break and go for a spin on the one of a kind carousel! There's a lot to do on this scavenger safari, and we promise this will be one day at the zoo you'll never forget.

Photo Challenges and Activities:

Each person will have an interactive role and will receive texted photo challenges and fun activities to enjoy with the rest of the group. Earn points for the best photos!

1. You can start at any time you wish – this is a self-guided scavenger hunt.

2. The duration of each hunt is 1.5 to 2 hours.
