AMATEUR MASTER STYLE3-PLAYER TEAM SHOOTOUT
This event is intended for low players to experience the masters style format
TEAM FORMAT
• 3 players per team (Max SL 11 based on apa 8 ball)
MATCH STRUCTURE
• 3 matchups: A vs A, B vs B, C vs C
• Each matchup = 1 point
• First team to win 2 matchups wins
LINEUP (PUT-UP)
• Coin flip determines who puts up first
• Teams alternate putting up players
• Matchups lock once players are revealed
MATCH FORMAT
• 3 games of 8-ball + 6 games of 9-ball
• Race to 5 (max 9 games)
GAME FLOW
• Coin flip per matchup
• Winner chooses: 8 first, 9 first, or break
• Chosen format must be completed before switching
• Play continues until 5 wins
BREAK RULE
• Alternate break
• No win on the break (8 or 9 is spotted and play continues)
RULES
8-BALL (CALL POCKET)
• Call shot (ball & pocket)
• Open table after break
• Must hit your group first
• Ball must be pocketed or reach a rail
• Pocket safes allowed (must be called)
• Ball-in-hand on all fouls
Loss of game:
• 8-ball early, wrong pocket, scratch, or off table
9-BALL (CALL POCKET)
• Must hit lowest ball first
• Call pocket required (no slop unless shooter accepts it)
• Ball must be pocketed or reach a rail
• Ball-in-hand on all fouls
Winning:
• 9-ball must be called and made
• Early 9 counts only if called
COMMON FOULS
• Scratch
• No rail after contact
• Wrong ball first
• Double hit / push
• Ball off table
MATCH PLAY
• All 3 matchups are played
$90 per team / $10 donated directly to Bill Turner's recovery benefit. No admin or green fee
