Altered State of Consciousness Breathwork
About this Event
Conscious Connected Breathwork • Full Moon Journey
"The breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness." — Thích Nhất Hạnh
Join us for an evening of Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) under the energy of the Full Moon—a time traditionally associated with illumination, release, and renewal. Through a continuous circular breathing practice, you'll be guided into an expanded state of awareness where many people experience greater emotional openness, insight, creativity, nervous system regulation, and a deeper connection with themselves.
No prior experience is necessary - just bring a yoga mat, and an open mind.
How it works
During Conscious Connected Breathwork, we intentionally move beyond our ordinary waking state into an expanded state of awareness. Breathwork helps the brain shift from "thinking mode" (beta) toward "feeling and awareness mode" (alpha and theta), creating a state where the mind becomes quieter and the inner experience becomes more accessible. We cannot always find new solutions from the same state of consciousness that created the challenges. By shifting our state of awareness, we create space to access deeper intuition, insight, and our own inner healing intelligence.
As your breathing deepens, thoughts, emotions, memories, and physical sensations that have been held beneath the surface may be amplified, and we can practice going towards them.
Your only job is to: Trust. Stay open. Let go. (and, of course, to breathe!).
What You May Experience
Every breathwork journey is different. Although, it may help you:
- Releasing stuck emotions or stress
- Reconnecting with creativity or a sense of aliveness
- Cultivating a renewed sense of connection to yourself or others
- Supporting nervous system regulation and a sense of calm
- Listening to your intuition
- Cultivating your spirituality
- Finding new insights or shifts in perspective
All experiences and emotional expressions are welcome. There is no "right" experience.
This Is Not a Calm Meditation
While many people leave feeling lighter and more peaceful, the breathwork itself is not a mindfulness meditation designed simply to relax you.
It is an active practice that can temporarily intensify emotions, bodily sensations, and inner experiences, because it is inviting you to let it go through magnification. Many people describe the experience as similar to psychedelics, or as entering a dreamlike, liminal state.
Throughout the journey, remember: You are always in control.
You are free to slow your breath, pause, return to normal breathing, open your eyes, or ask for support at any time. We encourage you to honor your body and move at a pace that feels right for you.
As facilitators, we are not here to fix or change your experience. We are simply two regulated nervous systems holding a safe, grounded space while you explore your own inner landscape.
