About this Event
How do we heal ancestral trauma?
One way is by reclaiming our ancestral practices.
Join us for a vibrant celebration of our Latine heritage as we honor the sacred tradition of Día de Los Muertos. Ursula of Soleil Vida Studio will discuss the history and symbolism of alebrijes, while you paint your own sacred carvings to add to your personal altar at home. Dra. Nancy of Conexion Acupuncture will explain the significance of copal & limpias for altares and will guide you through a limpia you can use at home to cleanse your personal altar.
Spaces of intentionality provide a nurturing environment where we can reconnect with our ancestral practices while fostering a sense of belonging. Engaging in traditions allows us to honor our heritage and draw strength from our roots, facilitating emotional and spiritual healing for our inner mijas and inner mijos. By creating and sharing in community we find support that enriches our spirit and promotes overall well-being.
Participant will take home the alebrije they create and a copal limpia kit.
Location: OLMO Market (2111 S Edgefield, Dallas, TX)
