27/2 at 20.00: HEJ JOHANNES
HEJ JOHANNES is an innovative improv duo focusing on musical conversation. A responsiveness and an interest in each other’s ideas, which have been developed and refined since the start of the collaboration in 2014.
The duo consists of Johannes Gammelgaard on saxophone and Johannes Berg on drums, who are both active on the jazz and improv scene in Scandinavia. The two musicians have worked together in various constellations over the last eleven years and developed a common musical language based on melodic fragments, modal landscapes and abstract sound experiments.
In January 2020, HEJ JOHANNES released their self titled debut album. In February this year, they will release their sophomore album, which is a live recording from Fylkingen in Stockholm.

27/2 at 21.00: Rudi Mahall/Kasper Tom
Rudi Mahall is a legendary figure on the international jazz/avantgarde scene. As a member of Schlippenbach's Globe Unity Orchestra, Monk's Casino and Die Enttäusshung he has gained a reputation as one the great European improvisors and a unique communicator on the bass clarinet. He masters both Bb clarinet and bass clarinet as no one else in this world and with his intense, positive musical expression he is always fun to experience live.
Over the past few years, Kasper Tom has made his name on the European improv and avantgarde scene. Kasper's playing draws inspiration from modern music, but is also imbued with a great deal of tradition and a unique sense of melody. As a band leader he has had great succes with the groups FUSK, Kasper Tom 5 and Kasper Tom/Jacob Anderskov.

28/2 at 20.00: Blaume
Blaume is a duo consisting of Laura Zöschg (IT) and Mette Hommel (DK), both based in Copenhagen. They work with the flute, the voice and different electronic enhancements, and move in the realm of improvised and experimental music. The two women met in Aarhus, Denmark, where they first started playing together, and from their meetings, a beautiful friendship blossomed. The safety and curiosity are mirrored in the music they play, opening a space full of surprises, fine details, big soundscapes, and committing exploration.

28/2 at 21.00: Saxophone & String Ensemble
The improvising string trio with saxophone emerged from the collaboration between cellist TJ Borden (US) and saxophonist Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen (DK/US), whose debut album was released on the Danish label Marsken Records.
In 2024, this core duo expanded to include two additional string players: American violinist Erica Dicker and Danish-American bassist Tom Blancarte. Together, they formed a quartet that bridges a wide spectrum of musical influences.
Supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, their collaboration delves into diverse sonic landscapes rooted in experimental and improvisational practices. Through the interplay of textures, silence, and sound, the quartet navigates ever-shifting structures that challenge traditional musical forms.

1/3 at 20.00: Agnes Persson/Klaudia Rychlik
When guitarist Agnes Persson and dancer Klaudia Rychlik come together in the project Loop in Translation, they create a dynamic space where music and dance intertwine in a flow of improvisation. It is a meeting of art forms, with translation, dialogue, and reinterpretation at its core.
Guitarist and composer Agnes Persson is one of the young musicians reshaping the Swedish jazz scene in recent years. Her debut album, In Collaboration With Flowers (Havtorn Records, 2021), received critical acclaim, making a significant impact on the Swedish jazz landscape. In the fall of 2024, she released her second album, Listen Closely, and recently wrapped up its release tour.
Klaudia A. Rychlik is a contemporary dance artist and choreographer based in Stockholm. With a background in both social anthropology and visual arts, her artistic practice is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach. Her work often explores themes such as community, care, and coexistence.
By allowing music and dance to reflect, challenge, and inspire one another, Loop in Translation explores what is lost – and what is gained – in the translation between art forms. It is an invitation for the audience to become part of the conversation, experiencing the unique magic of the moment.

1/3 at 21.00: Ruh Duo + Eva Behrens
Ottoman/Syrian musical traditions meet new compositions and free improvisation in this concert dedicated to the essence of being human. In collaboration with visual artist Eva Esmann Behrens, the concert invites light into a sensory-filled space with dynamic visuals and lighting projections created live on the walls.
This is music of fine details, exploring the depth of microtonality, where silences carry as much weight as the outspoken.
Oud player Maher Mahmoud is a highly acclaimed Syrian musician and composer. Trained in the classical Arabic tradition, he is also a master at fusing diverse musical styles. Maher has performed and recorded with a wide range of Danish and international artists.
Vocalist and percussionist Mette Marie Ørnstrup has explored many musical borderlands, both as an improviser, performer, and global musician. She has traveled the world with her music and spent a year and a half living in Istanbul, studying classical Ottoman music and singing at the conservatory.
Eva Esmann Behrens works as a visual artist, specializing in projections and light for both large and small installations as well as live performances. With a background that includes dance, she has, since 2016, developed her visual practice in collaboration with a network of international artists.
