About this Event
Allens Cross Cooking Club: Waste Less, Save More 🍞
Friday 11th September 2026 | 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Join us for our monthly budget-friendly cooking class, focused on simple, healthy meals, big flavour and practical money-saving skills.
This September, we're celebrating Zero Waste Week with a special session all about making the most of one of the UK's most wasted foods – bread.
Every year, millions of loaves are thrown away across the UK, even though bread can be transformed into a wide variety of delicious meals and snacks. During this hands-on session, we'll explore creative ways to use leftover bread, helping you reduce food waste, save money and discover new recipes you can easily recreate at home.
In this session we'll be:
🍞 Making a selection of delicious dishes and recipe ideas using leftover bread (menu to be revealed!)
💡 Sharing practical tips for reducing food waste and making everyday ingredients go further
🌍 Exploring the environmental impact of food waste as part of Zero Waste Week
👩🍳 Cooking together in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment
