24-Hour Healing Ceremony
This 24-hour healing ceremony is the first of its kind. Stomp culture is a form of engagement using call and response through song and movement. Traditionally it was used when traveling from one place to the next. In this instance, we are stomping our way through trauma into healing.
We stomp for those impacted by MMIWR.
We stomp out the spirit of addiction.
We stomp out the spirit of suicide.
We stomp out the spirit of abuse.
Groups of stomp dancers will stomp continuously for 24 hours until the symbol, representing All of Us, is etched into the grass. The healing path will memorialize all of the those touched by addiction, suicide, abuse, murder, and symbolizes the healing of Mother Earth. Everyone is invited to participate.
