Kickstart your year with creative movement at Island Circus Space! We're taking over the studio for a series of flow arts classes and workshops to help you elevate your practice and ignite your flow in 2025.
Join us on December 28th, January 2nd, and January 4th for a variety of dynamic workshops, where you’ll dive into different flow arts disciplines. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, we’ve got something for everyone.
Each day wraps up with a Flow & Glow Jam — a time to turn up the music, turn down the lights, practice what we've learned, and free flow together. Class participants get exclusive access to the jam for free, but don’t worry if you can't make the workshops — drop-in passes for the Flow & Glow Jam are available separately.

JANUARY 2nd, 5-6pm:
All Levels Staff Spinning with Mike
Join us for a dynamic and engaging staff-spinning workshop designed for all skill levels! Whether you're brand new to staff spinning or have some experience, this class will guide you through foundational movements and more intermediate tricks to enhance your flow.
Beginners will learn about spinning circles, figure eights, and stalls. Intermediate spinners will learn about palm spinning, figure eight rolls, and throws. Advanced spinners will learn about steves, elbow rolls, and behind-the-back catches.
Bring your own staff if you have one! If not, we have a limited number available to borrow—contact us in advance to reserve one. Get ready to explore dynamic spins, transitions, and creative expression in this engaging and supportive class.
Cost: $25 + GST (class passes accepted)
