Everyone is welcome to attend the Village of Arlington Heights for All Kinds of Awesome: A Celebration of Abilities, on Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Camelot Park Community Center at 1005 E Suffield Drive.
Hosted by the Village’s Commission for Citizens with Disabilities, All Kinds of Awesome is the Commission's first-ever community event, creating a new opportunity to bring residents together while celebrating the abilities, contributions and individuality of our neighbors. This family friendly event for all ages is a free, welcoming community celebration featuring activities, entertainment, local organizations and opportunities to connect and have fun together.
What to Expect:

- Music and entertainment
- Crafts and interactive activities
- Community organizations and resources
- Photo booth
- A visit from Mane in Heaven's miniature therapy horses, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Recognition of the Commission for Citizens with Disabilities' award nominees and recipient at 12:30 p.m.
- Opportunities to celebrate what makes each of us unique
A Space for Everyone
All Kinds of Awesome is designed to be a welcoming event where people can participate in the ways that work best for them. A **quiet area** will be available for attendees who would benefit from a lower-stimulation space or a break from event activities.
About the Commission
The Village of Arlington Heights Commission for Citizens with Disabilities works to foster greater awareness, accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities throughout the community.
Disability Inclusion Award
As part of All Kinds of Awesome, the Commission for Citizens with Disabilities will present its Disability Inclusion Award, recognizing members of the Arlington Heights community who help make the Village a more welcoming and accessible place for people with disabilities. The award seeks to recognize groups and individuals for their kindness, inclusion and a commitment to making a positive difference. No act of kindness or inclusion is too small to be recognized. Submitted nominations are considered annually by the Commission for Citizens with Disabilities, with award recipients recognized for their contributions to the community.
