2026 Fall Foodie Fest

Please join us for food, fellowship and fun, to raise funds for our primary school in rural Uganda and support the local community!

You are invited to our Fall Foodie Fest on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Join Shelter Academy of Light for an evening of delicious fall-themed food and meaningful fellowship, all in support of our mission to build a primary school in eastern Uganda. Proceeds from our Fall Foodie Fest will allow us to continue construction on Shelter Academy of Light, support our Small Steps Reading Clubs, and grow our Menstrual Health Initiative for women and girls in the community.

Highlights of the event include silent auction baskets, a Ugandan marketplace, a paddle raise and more! We also encourage you to take time and write a letter to a student in Uganda. This neighborhood gathering is a wonderful chance to enjoy seasonal food, connect with your community, and learn how you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of children in rural Uganda.
