All Ages Community Gardening (Kids + Family friendly)
About this Event
Want to learn more about gardening in a community setting from a practiced gardener, herbalist and environmental educator?
Join staff from the Environmental Learning Center at our dedicated plot in the Clackamas Community College community garden for a weekly 2-hour drop-in gardening class for kids and families (all ages, youths must be accompanied by supervising adult).
Each week we'll tend our plot by pulling weeds, planting seeds, watering and building paths. We'll make a snack to share and send any extra harvest home with participants and/or our campus food bank.
Other activities may include:
- Plant and pest identification
- Recipes, snacks and other uses for plants
- Seasonal tips and tricks for the PNW gardener
- Gardening for kids! (Games, crafts, safety w/ tools and food prep)
