120 years ago today, Flower Memorial Library opened its doors thanks to our generous benefactor, Emma Flower Taylor. Taylor donated money to the City of Watertown so Watertown can have a public library that welcomed all ages, and serve as a hub for information. 120 years later, we are proud to continue her mission of serving the people of Watertown by providing quality service, reading, culture, and research. To celebrate the history of the library and everything it has accomplished over the past 120 years, please join us for an anniversary party. We will have historic library tours, a photobooth to capture the memories made at the party, library memorabilia from over the years, a flower bookmark craft, light refreshments, giveaways, and more.
This event will take place throughout the library. A historic tour around the library will begin at 3pm, starting at the Circulation Desk. This event is free and open to all ages and abilities.
