All About Tomatoes: How to Propagate, Stake, and Fertilize Plants
About this Event
Come to our in-person UF/IFAS workshop to learn how to grow healthy, productive tomatoes with confidence! Learn how to:
- Propagate plants using cuttings and seedlings, select the right varieties for your space, and plant tomatoes correctly to encourage strong root systems.
- Utilize staking to keep plants upright and improve airflow, along with essential fertilizing and soil preparation practices to boost growth and fruit production. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced gardener, this class will give you practical skills to successfully grow tomatoes at home.
- Fertilize tomato plants so that you can have a great harvest at the end of the season!
Each ticket comes with a tomato plant, pot, stake, and fertilizer, which will be applied to your plant during the hands-on session, allowing you to leave with a properly fertilized and staked tomato plant!
