From cover tunes to originals, from Blues to Jazz and every genre in between, the scope of throwback to modern stylings she chooses to deliver effectively evokes the groove and embodies the lyrical content, setting her apart from other great vocalists. For the past 17 years, she’s either won or placed in the Western North Carolina Readers poll for Best in Blues. Reggie Headen is a native North Carolinian and graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. He sees the stage as a medium of many possibilities to connect and engage an audience. He started his professional career as a featured performer at New York’s famous Broadway concert venue Town Hall, playing to giants and peers in the industry. In fall 2018, Reggie moved to Asheville and since moving he’s had what he calls “A Return to Jazz”.
The power and panache of his live performances are ones for the history books. Headen beguiles and astounds. Reggie is a fearless performer and heartfelt old soul vocalist. His recently joined forces with Pearlman to create The Doors Unhinged and fronts his own band, Nighttime-Noon Band.
Jonathan Pearlman’s talents as guitarist, vocalist, arranger, producer and composer have made him a sought after musician, working with other notable area vocalists Wendy Jones, Russ Wilson, Jonathan Lloyd, Ben Falcon and Stephanie Morgan. Asheville has fallen in love with his self-produced shows that pay tribute to Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and The Doors. His original show, “And Now for Something Completely Different” is scheduled to debut in 2024 and is made up of some of the best players on the scene including his son Jaron on drums. Most recently, one of his original songs was chosen as the theme song of a major motion picture from Brazil.
