About this Event

Alexander brings to bare almost 40 years of leading and stewarding the eleventh generation of his family directing Hoares Bank. The partners of the bank trade with unlimited liability and their mission is properly long term: perpetuity.

Arising from all this he has the perspective to make some observations that challenge the current dominant view of how capitalism should work:

is bigger better? What about the customers?

What about quality as well as quantity of earnings?

What do annual earnings statements tell you?

Does economics tell us anything important?

What should CEOs optimise for?

Does capitalism flourish with limited liability?

His recent book Impact Banker tries to convey that we don't all have to follow the contemporary herd.
