Claremont Heritage is pleased to present a special Saturday Lunch and Talk featuring Alan Hess, renowned architect, author, lecturer, architecture critic, and advocate for twentieth-century architectural preservation. Hess will discuss the significance of modern architecture in Claremont and its lasting impact on the city’s development.

The author of over twenty books on modern architecture, Alan Hess most recently published The Palm Springs School: Desert Modernism, exploring the innovative mid-century architectural movement in Southern California. During this presentation, attendees will gain insight into the design philosophies, cultural context, and preservation efforts that have shaped Claremont’s unique architectural landscape.
After the talk, Alan Hess will be available to sign his books – bring a copy with you or various titles will be available for sale at the event.
