Akar Prakar - Becoming

Becoming is the inaugural exhibition at Gallery Akar Prakar’s new space in Defence Colony, New Delhi, opening to the public on 21 August 2026. Curated by Siddhi Shailendra, the exhibition brings together six celebrated artists, C. Douglas, Debasish Mukherjee, Ganesh Haloi, Jayashree Chakravarty, Leang Seckon, and Manish Pushkale.

Reflecting on artistic evolution as an ongoing process of transformation, Becoming brings six distinct practices into dialogue across abstraction, memory, landscape, ecology, architecture and history. The exhibition explores how artists continually respond to shifting environments, experiences and ways of seeing.
